Technorati and the size of the blogosphere: it can’t be THAT hard to figure out, surely?!
I've been having a lot of chats with bloggy folk from the US about Second Life - and the majority of them are wary and not sold on its potential.
The backing of Sheville certainly gives it more credibility - but when the US blogging folk aren't sure about it... and our compatriots are light years behind them...
I often find the attitude amongst Aussies that blogs are no different to the stereotypical view of chat rooms from the early/mid-90's. Introducing them to Second Life would only reinforce this stereotype and serve to confuse them methinks.
Another link that might be helpful is a sort of Second Life Primer I did at http://www.managingthegray.com/2006/06/11/secon...

Proving that great minds not only think alike, but WRITE alike ...
while you were blogging about the "indefatigable" C.C. Chapman in Second Life, I was blogging about C.C. Chapman in Second Life, the "indefatigable" Christopher Penn, and you!
Here's the post: http://www.bryper.com/2006/07/25/cq-pq-iq/
Indefatigable is one of those "50-cent words," as my high school English teacher used to say. So ... uhm ... our combined blogging value for the two posts is a whopping $1.00! Let's take THAT to the bank :)
But with the interest in SL growing amongst our echo chamber, and definately taking up your thoughts Paull and Trevor, I reckon I might as well start a page up on the new PR wiki about corporates who are SL-ing, plus the consultants who are also there.
The biggest hassle with SL is the time it takes to be involved, especially when you are at the opposite time of the day from the vast majority of your colleagues (hence why you will find me sitting alone, but a snapshot by Bryan shows several people in the cafe stall)
