    I know some people agree or disagree or add to it, but - obviously - there are some gray areas and they intermingle. But, at a meta level, this is how they do break down for me :)

    Didn't/Doesn't Plaxo have a big spam problem? People invite me to Plaxo, and unless I jump through hoops to deny the invite, Plaxo just keeps sending invites... not realizing that a non-response is a "no".

    When I first activated my Facebook account I used it as a tool to keep in touch with current, past and new friends.

    However, as a college senior I have come to realize that the social networking site should be used as a tool for advancement and recognition. I have begun posting my internships and positive work qualities, as well as achievements. In addition I have have deleted the not-so-flattering party pics and wall posts.

    I think individuals should realize the potential social networking sites have on their career and start making better decisions about their internet persona.
