Another indicator, Lee, of the major work still ahead to help our communication colleagues understand that social media is no longer something new or on the distant horizon but here and now.

There is some very good news, though, in other IABC conference happenings - the European IABC conference taking place in Paris on December 1-2 includes a panel discussion about social media as the conference's plenary opening session. I'm moderating that panel.

Typical IABC. I have to go to the comments of a blog of an Australian IABC member to find out what's happening in my own region.

I've been a member of IABC since the late 80s... the ONLY period in which I received any sort of mail from IABC Europe was when I was on IABC's board.

Lee, Neville... keep posting IABC Europe news on your blogs... otherwise, I (and I don't think I'm alone) will never know anything.
